Cheers from Switzerland

I received this email today:
Hi Jock

You probably don't remember me, but I was one of the admins who joined in 1975 and left in 1979, now, god forbid I am 57 ....
any case I left to take care of my son on the right Cameron, two years followed by Craig. Jim my hubby of almost 35 years is to the very far right....

After a successful career as mother I went back to school, became a nurse and later a researcher. I run Global Clinical Trials now for Roche in Switzerland, who would have thunk.

My sister sent me the link to your blog, so I thought I would send a photo.

Cheers

And all the best to the old crew....

Breakfast get together:
Wed February 3, 2010

Hello all my fellow Stelco retirees,

I hope everyone is well. This is meant to be a reminder for you to keep the morning of Feb 3rd open for our breakfast gathering.

As always it is at:
Place: Smitty's Restaurant
1035 Brant Street
(NE corner of Brant Street and Plains Road)

Time: 9:00 AM
Date: Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

We have a room reserved at the back of the restaurant.
Hope you can attend.
Our next get together after this one will be Wednesday June 2nd, 2010.
If you happen to have email addresses of any of our fellow retirees that you know of that are different to the ones above, could you please pass it on to me so that I can get in touch with as many people as possible. I know that they can change quite often.
Take care,
Rick Minion

Pat Paulencu

Pat Paulencu (nee Kriter) passed away on Wednesday, Dec 16, 2009.
Pat was one of the charter members of the R&D Department. She took on, with enthusiasm, the role of social secretary and arranged department Christmas parties, picnics, and dances. She had a generous nature and a kind heart.
